Heavy Montreal 2018

Two wonderful days at Heavy Montreal 2018 ! People were great, bands awesome and even the weather was not that bad (except the rain during Manson show). I shot 24 groups during the weekend and here is a quick best of my photos of the festival.

Before anything, I just want to say a few words about the shooting condition.. Thanks to Thorium Magazine I was able to get a photo pass to cover the festival for them. Unfortunately we get access to the festival but not to the photo pit… So all my photos are taken from the crowd and this change a bit the way you need to approach your shooting, your location, your timing to be on time for a show. And of course the joy of being sometimes in the middle of a moshpit.
I will publish an article soon to discuss more this subject as I learn a lot from it during this wonderful weekend.
